- The Mothers for Peace – why we oppose relicensing and what this fight entails
- Ken Haggard and Polly Cooper – local green architects specializing in passive solar design since 1976. Projects include the Wheeler’s home, Congregation Beth David, and San Luis Botanical Garden. They will discuss passive solar design and how it can help us “build our way out of global warming.” They believe it is the easiest and most cost effective approach to addressing this tremendous problem.
- Eric Veium – an energy engineer committed to transforming energy, starting in SLO County. For the last six years, Eric has focused on the development of local renewable energy with a secondary focus on regional food and sustainable agriculture. He is partner and lead engineer in Stockman’s Energy and board president of the Central Coast Ag Network. He is proud to be a graduate of Cal Poly Industrial Engineering and of Leadership SLO Class XIX. Eric will speak about empowering SLO County to choose our energy future.
