CCAMP

The Central Coast Ambient Monitoring Program (CCAMP) conducts water quality monitoring for the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board throughout our Region.   We will be holding a coordination meeting for our 2013 watershed monitoring activities in the Santa Maria River and Oso Flaco Watersheds.  We would like to invite you to attend.

We will be meeting at the Santa Maria Elks Lodge (link to map and directions http://www.santamariaelks.com/maptolodge.html).  The meeting will be held on Tuesday October 30th from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm.

CCAMP is scheduled to initiate a 12-month ambient monitoring effort in the Santa Maria and Oso Flaco Watersheds.  Water quality data from past monitoring is available on our website www.ccamp.org

The intent of the meeting is to bring together this area’s stakeholders, resource management agencies and advocacy groups to discuss water quality monitoring issues and to initiate coordination with existing monitoring activities.  We would like to introduce you to CCAMP and describe the monitoring activities we will be conducting in your streams.  We are interested in any input you might have on water quality issues of greatest concern to you, and on the sites and parameters we are planning to monitor.  We would also appreciate it if you could summarize any existing monitoring activities you are aware of at the meeting and describe any ways in which we might be able to coordinate our efforts with yours.

We view this meeting as an open forum for discussing water quality monitoring issues.  If you know of any other important players in the water quality realm, please feel free to invite them.  IF you have any questions or need additional information, I can be reached at (805) 542-4768 or madams@waterboards.ca.gov.
